Halloween

Halloween was fun but we would have loved to have daddy with us since it's probably his favorite holiday. Lexi was a fish and mommy was a fisherman. Lexi even got to go see mommy at work for the last 30 minutes and go trick or treating there. Everytime we tried to go outside it rained so we didn't get to go out for very long. We did get to go down one street with her cousins though.

El halloween fue divertido pero no tuvimos a papa y es probablamente uno de sus feriados preferidos. Lexi fue un pez y mami fue un pescador. Lexi aun visito a mami en su trabajo los ultimos 30 minutos y hizo el trick-or-treat alla. Cada vez que tratamos salir afuera empezo a llover asi que no salimos por mucho tiempo. Salimos por uan calle con sus primos.

Eating cereal (Comiendo cereal)

Lexi's going to eat solids on a more regular basis around 6 months, but she likes to eat a little already so mommy decided to get some pictures of her first time eating cereal. She thought it was lots of fun!

Lexi va a comer solidos mas a menudo cuando tenga 6 meses, pero le gusta comer un poco de los solidos ya y mama queria sacar fotos de ella comiendo cereal para la primera vez. Ella penso que fue re divertido!

State fair (Carnival del estado)

Lexi and mommy were lucky enough to get tickets to go to the state fair. We invited Liz (whose husband was all for it since she was 9 months pregnant and he was hoping the walking would induce labor) and we ran into Skye and her family while there. Lexi got to see the animals and we took a picture with the baby calf.

Lexi y mami tuvimos la suerte de ir al carnival del estado. Invitamos a Liz ir con nosotros (y su marido la dejo ir con la esperanza que caminar tanto lar haria dar a luz por que tuvo 9 meses del embarazo) y nos encontramos con la otra amiga de mami y su familia. Lexi vio a los animales y sacamos una foto de ella con un vacacito.

Summer holidays (Feriados del verano)

On the fourth of July Lexi got to wear her outfit that mommy had picked out especial for her. We had a family barbeque but we stayed inside for the fireworks cuz Lexi was so little. Luckily the 24th was close enough that Lexi got to wear her outfit two times before she outgrew it. We were sure Edgar would be here by then, but he wasn't. Lexi and mommy still had fun. We went to the parade and enjoyed another barbeque. This time we watched the fireworks and Lexi didn't fuss at all.

El 4 de julio Lexi llevo la ropa que mami eligio especial para ella. Tuvimos un barbacoa con la familia y despues quedamos en casa cuando tuvieron las bombas artificiales porque Lexi fue tan pequena todavia. Por suerte festijamos el 24 tambien y Lexi pudo llevar la ropa una vez mas antes de crecer demasiado grande para llevarla. Pensamos que Edgar iba a estar con nosotras para el 24 pero no paso. Lexi y mami nos divertimos igual. Nos fuimos al desfile y tuvimos otro baracoa. Esta vez pudimos mirar las bombas artificiales y se porto bien Lexi.

Lexi's Birth (El nacamiento de Lexi)

After over 60 hours of labor and 3 hours of pushing Lexi entered the world via c-section. She was born on June 15th (Father's day) at 12:48 in the morning. It took 3 doctors to pull her out.

Despues de 60 horas de labor y 3 horas de empujar Lexi entro en el mundo por medio de una cesaria. Nacio el 15 de junio (dia de los padres) a las 12:48 de la manana. Llevo 3 doctores sacarla.

Our Story (Nuestra Cuenta)

Our story begins when Edgar was transferred to a new area on his mission, his last change and he was throwing a fit (literally). And if wasn't for that change he would never have met the love of his life, but even then, he did not know it. Karlia's first area was in the same zone Edgar was in. Before Edgar left the mission he gave her his email address. That was the end of the beginning. About a year and a half later they started talking via email for about a year and then realized we were falling in love. Karlia tried to get a visa for Edgar to come to the US so they could get married but it didn't work. She moved to Argentina where Edgar is from and they were married. They lived together for 9 months and decided they wanted to raise their family in the US. So she moved back to the US not knowing that that family was already started. More than a year after she left him they are still trying to get the family together and that's where they are at.

Nuestra cuenta empieza cuando Edgar tuvo cambios a un area nuevo en la mision. Era su ultimo cambio y estaba tan enojado. Pero si no fuera por ese cambio nunca hubiera conocido el amor de su vida, pero aun entonces no lo supo. El primer area de Karlia fue el mismo en que estaba Edgar. Antes de salir de la mision Edgar dio su direccion de email a Karlia. Fue el fin del
comienso. Casi un ano y medio despues empezaron a hablar por email. Despues de casi un ano de comunicarse por email se dieron cuenta que estaban enamorados del uno a otro. Karlia trato ayudar Edgar conseguir una visa para que pudieran casarse en los Estados Unidos pero no anduvo. Ella se mudo a Argentina de donde es Edgar y se casaron. Vivieron juntos por 9 meses y decidieron que quieron cuidar a su familia en los Estados Unidos. Asi que ella su mudo a los Estados Unidos sin el para empezar el proceso sin saber q esa familia ya habia empezado. Mas que un ano despues de separarse en Argentina todavia tratan unir su familia y ahi es donde se quedan.
