2010

It's been over a year since I last posted something and I have gotten comments from people. A lot has happened this past year. The biggest and the best change is our new little addition. Nico was born on the 18th of November. Lexi just adores him and I think he may adore her even more.
Here's a quick update of the past year:

January: Edgar started school.
Lexi in the dress her great-grandma in Argentina made.

February: Our third anniversary.
     Shower for my sister.
Shalisa's shower

March: My sister had her first baby on March 6th.
Found out we were expecting a baby.
Lexi & Pattersen

April: Edgar and I got to go to a conference session together at the Conference Center.

Lexi getting her hair done for church
( Like many toddlers, Lexi has a thing with putting anyone else's shoes. She has actually gotten pretty good at walking in big shoes)
(Every Sunday morning Lexi & I would spend an hour or so "getting ready" for church. I would do her hair and her nails. It became a special tradition for us).
Our road trip to Southern Utah.

Easter Morning
(I wanted to go to St. George for my birthday. Although we had fun once we got there, it was terrible traveling. I'm not even going to pretend otherwise. We had to stop about every 45 minutes because Lexi was getting car sick [both ways].

May: Found out the baby was due in November, not December like we thought.
My niece was blessed on Mother's Day.
I started back to school & Edgar stopped going.
We felt the baby move the last day in May.

June: Found out the baby was a boy.
Lexi turned 2 and burned her hand on the barbecue at her party.

At Trishelle's party. Lexi did not want to give the toaster up

Lexi's birthday party

(In the middle of Lexi's barbecue birthday party Lexi run into the barbecue and burned her hand. I ended up having to take her to kids care Luckily we were able to return and enjoy her party).

We returned to her party with her bandaged hand.

Lexi learning to dress herself.

July: Lexi potty trained herself.
(One day we had to leave and I told Edgar to wait for me to go to the bathroom. Lexi ran into the bathroom and went potty. She hardly had an accident after that. Then a month later she just stopped going & we had to put her back into diapers).

Trying to get curls in her hair again

Watching the parade with a friend
(Poor Lexi has my hair which means it almost never holds curl. I like to try different ways of curling her hair. I can get it curls to stay for about 4 hours if I'm lucky).

Pattersen eating strawberries in her nun hat at the parade.
24th of July with Aunt Shalisa & Pattersen
(My family has a tradition of sleeping over at the park and then watching the 24th parade. We didn't sleep over, but some of my sisters did and we went in the morning to watch the parade. It was fun to see Lexi Enjoy it so much)

August: Lexi decided she didn't want to go in the potty anymore.
       We moved.

In her fairy costume Aunt Trishelle bought for her.
I would just like to show you the house that I "left a mess". Yeah, this picture was taken about a week before we knew we were for sure moving. Can't you tell the kind of slobs we are?

September: Edgar turned 29 and was thrown a surprise soccer themed party.

October: I was given a shower by the Relief Society.

Just 11 days from my due date

Halloween night

Lexi came to visit mommy's work in her costume

Pattersen was a fairy

(For Halloween Lexi was a dog, I was a cat and Edgar was a Gothic woman. Our original idea was to go as Monsters Inc characters. Edgar as Sully, Lexi as Boo, and i would have been Mike from the belly down. we ran out of time and resources.)

November: Nico came a week late after & I had to be induced.
Nico's first smile and laugh (both were with mommy).

Lexi likes to wear mommy and daddy's shoes
With mommy
Lexi loves her brother.

Lexi decided to share her toys with her brother
One of my favorites of the two together.
Our new baby.

The family together at home
(Lexi wearing my shoes, again).

(Lexi just adores her little brother. When she came to visit him in the hospital the cleaning lady came in and Lexi started yelling at her "That's my baby. Nico's mine." The poor cleaning lady was just doing her job.

December: Nico rolled over the first time when he was exactly 1 month old.
      Christmas time.
Enjoying tummy time together.
Spending quality nap time together

He was so excited that Santa came that he just sat there smiling for 20 min
     Christmas time.
"Really mom, do you have to take a picture? I just want to see what I got"
Lexi & Pattersen in matching outfits

Dress up princess clothes

Family Christmas picture. Notice the matching frog pjs.

"Again with the pictures"
(I have gotten Lexi frog pjs for 3 years now. I don't know if I will continue next year because she is starting to have her own "favorites". I guess Nico will have to deal with it for a couple of more years).
Her first Christmas she liked Santa.

Trying on shoes at the Dicken's Festival.

Swinging at the Dickens's Festival

(It took two days for us to get to Santa because, well Lexi has some behavioral issues. She was so excited when we finally made it. We walked into his little sugar house & she flipped out. At least Nico wasn't bothered).
